The Hackett Group is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Director to join our Oracle practice. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while remaining actively engaged in solution design, configuration strategy, implementation delivery, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will combine deep Oracle Cloud Payroll expertise with strong consulting, delivery management, and business development capabilities.

Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Director Responsibilities

• Lead Oracle Cloud Payroll implementations and transformation programs from strategy through deployment and stabilization
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, guiding business process transformation and Oracle Cloud adoption
• Lead discovery sessions, workshops, and solution design discussions to define future-state business processes
• Provide subject matter expertise in Oracle Cloud Payroll and related HCM modules
• Maintain hands-on involvement in solution architecture, configuration design, testing strategy, issue resolution, and deployment activities
• Conduct solution reviews and provide guidance on complex payroll, compliance, integration, and reporting requirements
• Drive fit-gap assessments and recommend scalable solutions aligned with Oracle leading practices
• Oversee testing, cutover planning, deployment activities, and post-production support strategies
• Review and guide integration designs, data conversion activities, reconciliation processes, and payroll validation efforts
• Lead project teams consisting of onshore and offshore consultants while ensuring delivery quality and project success
• Manage project financials, resource planning, risk management, scope control, and client expectations
• Provide executive-level status reporting and facilitate issue resolution across stakeholder groups
• Mentor and develop consultants, senior consultants, and managers within the HCM practice
• Support practice growth through solution development, methodology enhancements, recruiting, training, and knowledge sharing
• Participate in business development activities including proposal development, client presentations, solution demonstrations, and pursuit support
• Maintain knowledge of Oracle Cloud innovations, payroll regulations, industry trends, and consulting best practices

Oracle Cloud HCM Payroll Director Requirements

• 10+ years of consulting experience with Oracle HCM solutions
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing Oracle Cloud Payroll
• Proven experience leading multiple full lifecycle Oracle Cloud HCM implementations from planning and design through go-live and hypercare
• Experience serving as Engagement Lead, Solution Architect, Project Lead, or Program Lead on large-scale Oracle Cloud implementations
• Ability to engage senior business leaders and communicate complex concepts through effective storytelling and solution presentations
• Strong expertise in payroll processes, payroll operations, compliance considerations, and Oracle leading practices
• Demonstrated ability to design scalable business solutions while remaining hands-on in implementation activities
• Experience managing project financials, staffing plans, delivery quality, and client relationships
• Proven leadership experience managing and mentoring consulting teams
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution-design capabilities
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Experience supporting business development, proposal responses, and client pursuits
• Ability to adapt quickly, lead through ambiguity, and drive successful client outcomes
• Commitment to following Hackett delivery methodology and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Oracle Cloud Payroll Certification
• Experience with Oracle Time and Labor, Absence Management, Benefits, Compensation, or Workforce Management
• Experience leading global or multi-country payroll implementations
• Experience with payroll integrations, reporting, data conversion, and testing strategies
• Experience supporting practice growth initiatives and developing consulting talen
