Administer and support mission-critical Oracle EBS R12/R12.2 and Oracle Database environments across development through production. Responsibilities include installation, patching, cloning, upgrades, performance tuning, RMAN recovery, RAC/Data Guard high availability, security hardening, troubleshooting, integrations, OCI initiatives, documentation, and on-call production support.

Position OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Oracle Apps DBA to support and administer a mission-critical Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) environment. The role will be responsible for the availability, performance, security, maintenance, and reliability of Oracle EBS and its underlying Oracle Database infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS R12/R12.2, Oracle Database, EBS patching and cloning, RMAN, performance tuning, RAC/Data Guard, and preferably experience supporting Oracle environments hosted on OCI.
Experience supporting integrations with Oracle Hyperion/EPM, SOA, Fusion, WebCenter, or Vertex will be an advantage.
- Administer and support Oracle E-Business Suite R12/R12.2 environments across Development, Test, UAT and Production.
- Manage the underlying Oracle Database environments supporting EBS.
- Perform EBS application and database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades and maintenance.
- Execute EBS online patching using ADOP, along with database/application patching using OPatch and related Oracle utilities.
- Perform EBS cloning, environment refreshes, database refreshes and configuration activities.
- Manage Oracle EBS application tier components including Apache/OHS, WebLogic, Concurrent Managers, Forms, Reports and application services.
- Monitor application and database health and proactively identify performance and capacity issues.
- Perform database performance tuning, including SQL tuning, AWR/ASH analysis, indexing, statistics and resource utilization analysis.
- Manage RMAN backup, restore and recovery processes.
- Support Oracle RAC, ASM and Data Guard environments for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Participate in DR planning, DR testing, failover/switchover activities and recovery validation.
- Troubleshoot critical production issues across the EBS application tier, database tier and infrastructure.
- Work with Oracle Support and raise/manage Oracle SRs when required.
- Support security hardening, access controls, database configuration and vulnerability remediation.
- Automate repetitive administration and monitoring activities using Shell/Unix scripting, SQL and PL/SQL.
- Support EBS integrations and technical dependencies with Hyperion/EPM, SOA, Fusion, WebCenter and other enterprise applications.
- Support Vertex tax integration with Oracle EBS where applicable.
- Participate in application upgrades, migrations and OCI-related infrastructure initiatives.
- Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and environment diagrams.
- Participate in production support and on-call/after-hours support as required.
- 7+ years of experience in Oracle Database / Oracle Apps DBA roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12/R12.2.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database 12c/19c or later.

- Experience with Oracle EBS Financials modules such as GL, AP and AR is preferred.
- Experience working with OCI or other cloud infrastructure is highly desirable.
- Oracle Hyperion/EPM administration or technical integration experience.
- Oracle SOA Suite / WebLogic experience.
- Oracle Fusion integration experience.
- Vertex Tax integration with Oracle EBS.
- Oracle WebCenter experience.
- Experience with Oracle Exadata.
- Experience with EBS upgrades, particularly R12.1 to R12.2.
- Experience with automation using Python or advanced Shell scripting.
- Experience supporting enterprise retail environments.
