About the role

Concept Plus is seeking an Oracle EBS Applications DBA to provide expert administration and support of Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.x) deployed on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Responsibilities include installation, configuration, patching, cloning, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of EBS and supporting database technologies within a secure cloud environment. The ideal candidate has extensive experience supporting EBS and Oracle Databases in OCI and understands cloud architecture, networking, security, automation, and governance.


What you'll do

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite R12.x environments hosted on OCI, including application and database tiers.
  • Perform EBS patching, cloning, upgrades, and concurrent manager administration using Cloud-optimized workflows and tools.
  • Deploy and maintain OCI infrastructure components, including compute, block volumes, object storage, load balancers, OKE (optional), and networking services.
  • Implement and maintain backup, recovery, HA, and disaster recovery strategies using OCI Services, RMAN, Data Guard, and GI/RAC as applicable.
  • Monitor and tune database and EBS performance, including SQL optimization and OCI resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering, application development, and security teams to support interface requirements, workflow, and custom code deployments.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security, identity governance, and regulatory requirements for the customer environment.
  • Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.


Qualifications

  • US Citizen with ability to obtain and/or maintain a US Government Public Trust.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years experience as an Oracle Apps DBA supporting EBS R12.x.
  • Hands-on experience managing EBS in OCI, including deployment or migration.
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • Oracle Database (19c)
    • WebLogic / Oracle Application Server
    • Linux environments (Oracle Linux preferred)
    • SQL and PL/SQL tuning
  • Expertise with:
    • Patching and cloning (adpatch, adop, rapid clone)
    • RMAN, Data Guard, Gold Image management
    • OCI networking, IAM, Vault, Policies, Compute, and Storage services
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and change management.
  • Experience with EBS lift-and-shift migrations to OCI or OCI-native EBS deployments.
  • Exadata Cloud Service or Autonomous Database experience required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate within cross-functional and global teams
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in high-pressure environments
  • Preferred experience with:
    • OCI-Resource Manager (Terraform)
    • Ansible, Shell scripting, Python
    • EBS modules such as Financials, HRMS, or Supply Chain
  • Preferred Certifications such as:
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate / Professional
    • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – DBA or EBS
    • Security+ or CISSP (if applicable based on customer requirements
  • Preferred exposure to other monitoring platforms (Dynatrace, New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics, Zabbix, etc.)
