Job Summary
.The Operations Director provides leadership for the Nidec Millenium Facility and is responsible for the facility Operations Team(s), including EHS, HR, Finance, 3Q6S Operational Excellence, NPI, Production, Planning, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management, Warehousing, Product and Manufacturing Engineering, Service and Warranty, and Quality. This position is responsible for building and leading a team that will plan, align and execute our safety, quality, service levels and financial goals through cultivating a culture that prioritizes safety & customer excellence, action-oriented teamwork, accountability and employee development.The Nidec Millenium Facility is responsible for production operations for multiple Nidec businesses and will be accountable to each of these businesses for the key responsibilities listed above. The Operations Director position will have Direct Line reporting to these businesses and should be comfortable managing multiple SBU operations within the Millenium Facility.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Environmental, Health & Safety: Ensure all operations operate safely and adhere to all safety and environmental policies, procedures and local legislation. Install, live and breathe a safety-first culture. Measured by TRR.
• Customer Focus: Collaborate with key business leaders to focus the operation on the customer in everything we do. Measured by on time delivery promised (PDSL) and on time delivery requested (RDSL).
• Exceeding Customer Expectations: Partner with Master Scheduler/Planner to deploy effective demand and supply materials and production planning for all products produced at the site. Measured by FG lead time.
• Technology: Develop & deploy a technology strategy enabling continually reduced direct labor cost. Measured by JPMH, labor efficiency & OEE
• Quality: Ensure that manufacturing capabilities and quality levels meet or exceed Company requirements, customer needs and financial goals. Measured by CoPQ.
Operational Excellence: Lead & deploy strategies to meet 3Q6S KPIs across all operational areas.
• Continuous Improvement: Partner with the Continuous Improvement Manager to maintain and execute to a CI roadmap that will drive improvement in all factory and drive center locations. Measured by on time delivery of projects and targeted improvements to KPI’s.
• Risk Mitigation: Develop and champion risk mitigation strategies to guarantee continuity of operations and supply.
• Budget and Investment: Manage factory P&L, maintain ongoing control of costs, propose facility and operational capital investments in-line with business objectives. Measured by factory GP.
• People: Partner with HR to develop a leader succession plan and manage talent in the Operations organization and coordinate labor union management with MOEN Mexico HR Leadership.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred. Bachelor’s degree (or Professional diploma) or master’s degree in business related subject is desirable.
Experience & Characteristics
• Five to Ten (5-10) years of progressive manufacturing experience
• Three (3) Years of experience in a senior leadership role
• Experience managing a P&L and/or large departmental budgets
• Evidence of business acumen supported with a proven track record of driving financial and operational results
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including team building, ensuring accountability, coaching & motivating people
• Highly results oriented
• Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence proficiency
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to scale communications broadly across the operational team(s) from shop floor to executive leadership.
