Responsibilities:

Platform Engineering & Architecture

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise GCP platform capabilities, including landing zones, organizations, projects, networking, and shared services
  • Build scalable, secure, and reusable platform patterns aligned with architecture and security standards
  • Support IaaS, PaaS, and serverless GCP services across multiple environments

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

  • Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines
  • Integrate cloud services into automated delivery workflows using GitHub Actions and related tooling
  • Develop and maintain reusable modules, pipelines, and platform automation

Security, Governance & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain IAM, policy enforcement, firewall rules, and network security controls
  • Partner with Security and Governance teams to meet audit, risk, and compliance requirements
  • Apply security best practices across identity, networking, data protection, and access management

Operations & Reliability

  • Manage, monitor, and operate GCP environments using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and alerting
  • Provide advanced production support, incident response, and root‑cause analysis
  • Drive reliability, performance, and cost optimization improvements using FinOps principles

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Partner with application teams to onboard workloads following approved platform patterns
  • Maintain architectural, configuration, and operational documentation
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers; resolve complex issues escalated by the team

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure engineering roles
  • Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform core services
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
  • Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines (GitHub or similar)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and operating systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience designing or operating enterprise cloud landing zones
  • Multi‑cloud experience (Azure and/or AWS)
  • Kubernetes and container platforms (GKE preferred)
  • Experience supporting regulated or security‑sensitive environments
  • GCP certifications (Associate or Professional) a plus
