In this Role you will:

  • Design and Implement GCP infrastructure solutions, IAAS, PAAS, SAAS components.

  • Automate Cloud Platform infrastructure provisioning using tools Terraform and CICD Pipeline.

  • Manage and monitor GCP resources using Cloud Monitor, Cloud Logging, and Application Insights. along with alerting, reporting and dashboarding.

  • Design, Deploy and Support GCP cloud native components such as GCP Landing Zones, Organizations/Projects, Availability Zones, Storage, Serverless, Network Security Groups, VPC, Cloud Interconnects, Load Balancers, Containerization, Backups, Patching, etc.

  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including role-based access control (RBAC), network security groups (NSGs), and Policy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud solutions and services and integrate MultiCloud services into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

  • Optimize Cloud resource usage and manage cost through Cost Management and budgeting FinOps tools.

  • Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

  • Trains and mentors more junior staff on processes and releases. Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues elevated from staff. Provides guidance and consultation as required.

What it takes to be successful:

  • To be successful in this role, you should be able to collaborate well with security, architects, platform Engineers, developers and other delivery team members to implement and maintain cloud-based solutions in accordance with architecture guidelines and company security policies.

  • Experience in GCP Cloud Core networking, Security, AI services

  • DevOps/ Infrastructure as Code: Hands on Infrastructure-as-Code technologies such as Terraform/ Atmos. Hands on CICD principles and tools such as Github

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and work in a collaborative development environment as part of a team.

  • Security & Compliance: Knowledge of cloud security best practices, Identity & Access Management, and policy enforcement.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  • Intricate knowledge of IT infrastructure and workflows: hardware, OS, networking.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, implements, and deploys cloud platforms to support and meet business needs. Identifies, recommends, and implements opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.

  • Provides advanced level technical support and ensures reliable operation of cloud production. Troubleshoot software systems on multiple cloud computing platforms and system integration into existing cloud computing platforms. Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.

  • Develop technical standards. Tests and evaluates IT vendor products. Reviews configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime

  • Elevates code into the development, test, and cloud production environments on schedule. Provides follow-up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.

  • Learns and understands client area business functions and requirements. Determines the appropriate technical tool to address the client's business needs.

  • Trains and mentors more junior staff on processes and releases. Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues elevated from staff. Provides guidance and consultation as required. Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department.

  • Administer system activities. Writes the technical portion of assigned deliverables. Performs systems analysis, including system requirements analysis and definition, and logical design.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Plans and implements new technologies and major releases for the most critical enterprise-wide IT cloud platform projects. Designs, implements, and deploys cloud computing systems to support and meet business needs. Identifies, recommends, and implements opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.
  • Provides expert level technical support and ensures reliable operation of cloud production. Diagnoses and troubleshoots the most complex issues for cloud computing systems on multiple platforms. Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.
  • Develops technical standards. Tests and evaluates IT vendor products. Reviews configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime
  • Elevates code into the development, test, and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of eight years related work experience.

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
