We are seeking a Motorsports Aero Senior Software Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department . In this role, you will help drive the technical vision, strategy, and execution of our internal Aero Platform as a full-stack engineer. You will build and enhance scalable software solutions across frontend, backend, data, and cloud infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on modern application development using C# or a similar object-oriented language and cloud technologies such as Azure.
A key part of this position is transforming complex aerodynamic data into clear, accessible, user-friendly tools for engineers across multiple programs. You'll collaborate with software engineers, aero engineers, IT, and other cross-functional partners to ensure the platform is scalable, performant, and built on best-practice engineering standards.

What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software solutions for the Motorsports Aero platform
- Help define the technical roadmap and align it with program and business goals
- Build and support backend services, APIs, and integrations that power internal engineering applications
- Develop responsive, reliable frontend applications and workflows for technical users
- Architect and implement cloud-based solutions to improve scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate components, modules, and third-party APIs
- Work closely with GM IT and engineering groups to ensure scalability, reliability, and adherence to best practices
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain production systems in a fast-moving engineering environment
What You'll Need (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study
- 7-10 years of experience as a software engineer or similar role
- Strong full-stack development experience across backend and frontend systems
- Hands-on experience building backend services in C# / ASP.NET Core or similar modern framework
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
- Experience developing web applications using modern frontend frameworks such as React, along with JavaScript and/or TypeScript
- Strong understanding of modern software architectures, methodologies, and design patterns
- Experience with cloud platforms
- Familiarity with CI/CD , testing frameworks, and monitoring tools
- Proven ability to maintain and debug production software
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies (AKS, Azure SQL, etc.)
- Advanced full stack experience with C#, ASP.NET Core, and modern frontend tooling (Webpack, Vite, React Query, etc.)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience building data-heavy platforms, engineering tools, or performance-sensitive applications
- Motorsports or racing experience, or strong interest in high-performance engineering
