Lead JerseySTEM fundraising initiatives by researching prospective donors, communicating the organization’s mission, executing campaigns and events, tracking goals and results, recruiting support, and maintaining brand standards. The role requires fundraising and development experience, including individual solicitation and event-based strategies, donor research, CRM proficiency, strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and team leadership. This is an unpaid pro-bono role requiring approximately six flexible hours weekly for at least six months.

Members contribute their professional skills and leverage their networks in service of the organization’s gender-equity agenda.Membership is a minimum six-month commitment of approximately six flexible hours per week and includes a $100 refundable deposit, returned after six months of active membership. K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt from the deposit.
OverviewThe Fundraising Lead role involves planning and executing fundraising initiatives, collaborating across departments, and reporting to [insert name/position]. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to spot fundraising opportunities, and managing campaigns to support JerseySTEM's mission.
Responsibilities- Research individuals interested in giving
- Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential donors
- Strategize for and successfully execute fundraising campaigns
- Organize fundraising events
- Set goals in collaboration with JerseySTEM leadership and track results
- Recruit and manage additional help needed to develop and execute plans
- Maintain the JerseySTEM brand voice and standards in all work
- At least three years of professional experience in fundraising/development, inclusive of both individual solicitation and event-based strategies
- Exceptional communication abilities (written and oral) with strong attention to detail
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- Experience with donor research
- Competence with donor management or CRM systems
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, colleagues, and volunteers
- Organizational skills to successfully balance multiple projects at once
- Proactive, collaborative style
