Department Overview
Model and EUCT Governance is responsible for the overall strategy, technology, governance, and training routines associated with managing model and end-user computing tool (EUCT) risk at Wells Fargo. This front-line team within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) partners with all lines of business and support functions, as well as the Model and EUCT Independent Risk Management team, to ensure successful implementation and execution of the Model Risk Management and EUCT policies.

In this role, you will:
- Manage and execute day to day activities within CIB Model Execution Team, supporting model owners and quants and ensuring compliance with Model Risk Management Policy
- Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations, requiring a solid understanding of model risk management, other relevant policies, and the business group's functional areas or products; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of control-level activities, maintain documentation using required templates, and store evidence in the designated system of record.
- Communicate effectively with diverse audiences-including quants, developers, validators, technical staff, and senior management-both verbally and in writing.
- Collaborate across CIB Model and EUCT Governance Team to drive strategic initiatives.
- Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- Subject matter expertise in Model and EUCT Risk Management Policy and its implementation
- Experience in program management and cross-functional risk learning projects with ability to identify project requirements and deliver solutions across the business.
- Experience and business knowledge with Fair Lending and UDAPP Compliance
- Experience handling and managing special circumstances tied to Model Risk, including conflict resolution.
- Experience in model governance, independent risk management, or process driven roles in Capital Markets.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities
- Familiarity with Capital Markets such as FX, Structured Products, Equity Markets and CRE (Commercial Real Estate)
- Demonstrated ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
- Experience in working across one or more geographic territories or regions especially with teams in the US.
