About the Role

Scorpion is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marketing Manager to join our brand marketing team. As a key player, you will collaborate closely with our corporate marketing, sales, product, and customer success teams to shape and execute the go-to-market strategy for our personal injury sub-vertical. You will leverage your expertise in the target vertical to craft solutions-focused messaging, integrated campaigns, thought leadership content, sales and marketing collateral, and more. Your deep understanding of the legal vertical, specifically in personal injury, will enable you to develop and execute impactful marketing strategies aimed at driving widespread adoption and contributing directly to revenue growth and customer acquisition within the personal injury sub-vertical.

What Your Success Will Look Like
  • Develop Demand Generation Plans & Support GTM Strategy: Collaborate closely with the Demand Gen team to develop and execute demand generation plans that drive pipeline growth. Work with Product Marketing to ensure go-to-market strategies are tailored and sub-verticalized where needed to support targeted campaigns and audience alignment cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
  • Develop Vertical Subject Matter Expertise: Cultivate an in-depth understanding of the personal injury sub-vertical, including market dynamics, key trends, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape.
  • Define Sub-Vertical & Messaging: Establish and refine positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with the sub-vertical’s target audiences. Hold responsibility for understanding and improving performance of the messaging.
  • Develop Thought Leadership & Industry Presence: Create thought leadership pieces that address industry trends, challenges, and future outlooks, positioning Scorpion as an expert in the vertical.
  • Lead Content Strategy: Help produce industry-specific content, including whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, webinars, and infographics.
  • Support Sales Enablement: Equip the sales team with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively sell to the vertical, including sales collateral, training materials, and pitch decks.
  • Develop Customer Engagement & Advocacy Programs: Initiate programs to ensure the success and satisfaction of customers within the vertical, fostering advocacy and referrals.
  • Lead Market Research & Analysis: Partner with our Director of Research and Produt Marketing to perform comprehensive research to identify the needs, pain points, decision-making processes, and buying behaviors of key personas within the sub-vertical.
  • Identify Customer Segmentation: Segment the target audience within the vertical to tailor marketing efforts effectively.
  • Track and Report Performance: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and inform ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Plan and Participate in Events: Contribute to the event strategy and participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and webinars to increase visibility and network with potential customers.
  • Gather Customer Insights & Feedback: Establish feedback loops with the sales team and customers to continuously gather insights and refine messaging and strategies.
  • Analyze Competitive Intelligence: Evaluate competitors' offerings, strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning within the vertical.
  • Support Vertical Partnerships: Support our strategic partnerships with industry associations, influencers, and complementary technology providers, including integrations.
Who You Are And What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of developing and managing B2B marketing campaigns
  • Target Audience Experience: Experience marketing to the SMB audience, particularly in legal industry with personal injury focus.
  • Strong Storyteller: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that resonate with the target audience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Target Vertical: Extensive experience and understanding of the specific home services sub-vertical.
  • Market Research & Client Segmentation: Proven ability to conduct detailed market research and segment clients effectively.
  • Value Proposition Development: Expertise in developing clear and compelling value propositions and messaging strategies.
  • Strategic Marketing Planning: Experience in developing and executing strategic marketing plans.
  • Customer Advocacy & Relationship Management: Proven success in developing customer advocacy programs and managing relationships.
  • Analytical Skills & Proficiency in Data Analysis: Strong data analysis skills with proficiency in analyzing marketing metrics, conducting ROI analysis, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). Ability to derive actionable insights from performance metrics.
  • High-Growth Company Experience: Experience within a high-growth digital marketing company is a plus.
  • Self-Starter: Must be a self-starter who can build a good rapport with internal stakeholders and peers.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and evolving projects. Comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting quickly to change, and moving forward with confidence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with sales, partnerships, account management, and marketing teams.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills to influence stakeholders, drive alignment, and lead product launches.

Compensation  

We acknowledge that states have passed legislation promoting pay transparency. As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.

  • The base salary range is $110,000 (entry-level) - $120,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. 
  • The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses or commissions.
