About Sweatpals

At Sweatpals, our mission is to help people build real connection through movement - and empower the next generation of fitness entrepreneurs.

Backed by a16z Speedrun, Kevin Hart, and other world-class investors, we connect hundreds of thousands of “Pals,” hosts, and gyms through events, memberships, and social features.

We believe working out should be joyful, social, and inclusive - not just a solo grind. From run clubs and beach pilates to pickleball leagues and cold plunge socials, Sweatpals turns everyday workouts into meaningful social experiences.

Sweatpals also gives local leaders the tools to grow their fitness communities from side hustles to full-time, even million-dollar businesses. Hosts use our platform to run their business - from ticketing and memberships to marketing tools.

As we scale, social and brand marketing play a critical role in turning this mission into a movement. You’ll help shape how Sweatpals shows up in culture - crafting a voice that feels local, joyful, and impossible to ignore.

What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a full-stack marketer who’s equal parts strategist and creator - someone who can own the content calendar, scale across multiple accounts, and shape how Sweatpals shows up as a brand.

  • Own the content calendar across all channels - plan, schedule, and strategize through it to keep campaigns cohesive and timely

  • Build a repeatable, scalable playbook for content and marketing while maintaining unique local voices that feel authentic to each city

  • Manage marketing team members (Brand Coordinator & Content Intern) - guiding priorities, creative direction, and quality

  • Create and execute social and brand strategy across Instagram, TikTok, and 10+ local and national accounts

  • Identify cultural and content trends early and adapt them in ways that align with our tone, audience, and values

  • Stay plugged into fitness and wellness culture - knowing what resonates with Gen Z and millennials, from run clubs to pickleball and beyond

  • Have a great eye for design and creative direction - you know what feels on-brand and can guide the team toward it

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and growth to turn features, events, and moments into social-first campaigns that drive engagement and discovery

  • Lead creator and influencer collaborations - from scouting and briefing to publishing and measurement (a plus)

  • Support key brand and product moments through email, event marketing, and creative storytelling

  • Be super reliable, hands-on, and resourceful - able to work fast, stay organized, and adapt to shifting priorities in a startup environment

  • Think outside the box, experiment often, and bring fresh, original ideas to how Sweatpals shows up in culture

What You BringExperience
  • 3–6 years of experience in social or brand marketing, ideally within a high-growth consumer brand, creator platform, or fitness/wellness company

  • Proven ability to grow communities and turn brand moments into measurable engagement

  • Experience managing or mentoring junior marketers and working cross-functionally with design and product

  • Portfolio that demonstrates taste, strategy, and strong execution across formats (Reels, campaigns, influencer collabs, etc.)

Skills
  • Deep understanding of culture, trends, and the Gen Z/young millennial audience

  • Excellent short-form copywriting and storytelling instincts

  • Sharp visual taste - even if you’re not a designer, you know what feels right

  • Highly organized and proactive - can manage multiple campaigns and pipelines simultaneously

  • Data-minded and creative - you track what works, learn fast, and scale success

  • Comfortable using Notion, Airtable, Figma, Later, Sprout, Canva, and AI tools for ideation and workflow

You’ll Thrive Here If You
  • Have a strong sense of taste, tone, and storytelling - and can help others stay on-brand

  • Love translating brand values into emotional, high-performing content

  • Take ownership and thrive in autonomy - you’re reliable, proactive, and resourceful

  • Are energized by ambiguity and the pace of an early-stage startup

  • Think like a trendsetter, not a trend follower - you make content that defines what’s next

  • Care deeply about community, connection, and craft

Our Values
  • Celebrate Diversity: We embrace different backgrounds, opinions, and ways of thinking

  • Be a Leader: We take initiative, speak up, and drive things forward - no matter your title

  • Roll Up Our Sleeves: No job is too small when we’re building something big

  • Embrace the Adventure: We stay curious, push boundaries, and see challenges as opportunities

Why Join Sweatpals
  • Be part of a movement that’s redefining how people connect: helping millions find friends, confidence, and community through movement

  • Shape a product that’s changing lives: from users who make their first friend in a new city to local hosts turning their side hustles into thriving wellness businesses

  • Work on stories that actually matter: empowering local hosts, instructors, and business owners to build real business and communities

  • Own creative and strategic projects from day one - your work will be seen, shared, and talked about across cities.

  • Collaborate with a team that moves fast, cares deeply, and celebrates big wins together

  • Full medical & dental insurance

  • Flexible PTO and remote-friendly policy

  • Monthly fitness & wellness allowance

  • Team workouts, IRL events, and early access to new Sweatpals tools
