Seeking an experienced leader to serve as Head of Business Management within our Wealth Management and Advice organization, reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer. In this role, you will lead a team of business managers and chiefs of staff who serve as strategic partners to senior executives across the business. You will be responsible for developing your team's capabilities, ensuring consistency in how business management support is delivered, and elevating the impact of business management as a critical organizational function. This position requires someone who can balance hands-on leadership with strategic oversight, coaching business managers while also contributing to enterprise-level initiatives.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Team Leadership and Development

Lead and develop a team of business managers and chiefs of staff who partner directly with senior leaders across wealth management and advice. Establish standards for excellence in business management, creating frameworks and tools that enable your team to deliver consistent, high-quality support. Through regular coaching, feedback, and professional development, build the capabilities of the business management team members and create clear career pathways. Foster a collaborative community of practice where business managers share insights, solve problems together, and continuously improve their craft.

Business Management Operating Model

Design and refine the business management operating model for the organization, defining how business managers interact with their executive partners, collaborate across the enterprise, and escalate issues appropriately. Establish governance mechanisms, communication protocols, and decision-making frameworks that create clarity and efficiency.

Strategic Planning and Execution Support

Oversee business management teams efforts in supporting strategic planning cycles, initiative management, and cross-functional project execution. Ensure business managers are equipped to facilitate planning sessions, track strategic priorities, manage interdependencies, and report on progress. Identify themes and patterns across the business, surfacing insights to the CAO and senior leadership team that inform organizational priorities and resource allocation decisions.

Budget Management Oversight

Guide business management team in budget planning, financial forecasting, and performance management activities for their respective areas. Ensure business managers can effectively analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to their executive partners. Establish consistent approaches to financial planning and reporting while allowing flexibility for unique business needs.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Partner with CAO and serve as a central coordination point for business management activities across wealth management and advice, ensuring alignment with enterprise functions and other business units. Partner closely with peers in technology, operations, risk, compliance, finance, and human resources to streamline processes and eliminate redundancies.

Organizational Effectiveness

Work with CAO and business management team to identify and address organizational friction points, process inefficiencies, and communication breakdowns. Drive initiatives that improve meeting effectiveness, decision-making speed, and information flow across the organization. Focus will be on creating scalable solutions that enhance productivity and enable leaders to focus on highest-value activities.

Anticipated Posting End Date:

Base Pay Range: $203,000/yr - $252,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
