How you will create an impact

  • Manage a team of Complex Directors handling moderate to high severity AL and GL claims
  • Assist Assistant Vice President-Primary AL/GL Primary Claims in developing and ensuring technical excellence by establishing policies and procedures in support of countrywide claim file quality.
  • Conduct periodic claim file audits of field claims practices and results.
  • Assist in identifying claim training needs and requirements and implementing appropriate claim training throughout the country.

What you will need to succeed

  • 7+ years' experience handling high severity AL/GL claims
  • Prior Management experience of 3+ years preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize projects while managing competing priorities.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective decision-making skills, including the ability to recognize, analyze, and improve claims performance against standards and goals.
  • Strong technical expertise interpreting insurance contracts. In depth knowledge of claim handling procedures, claims performance strategies, and claim best practices.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguous situations and issues, evaluate damages and negotiate settlements.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and champion change initiatives that leverage technology and improve skills in benchmarking.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing litigation strategies for successful suit handling and cost containment through vendor management.
  • Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems, as well as ability to achieve business goals and objectives is essential.
