Manager, Marketing | Vertical and Solutions Marketing, WSS
Position Summary:
The Manager of Marketing is accountable for supporting the growth strategy of assigned verticals, products, and solutions through the development and execution of a strategic marketing plan that drives demand and builds brand awareness through multi-channel campaigns. In this hands-on role, the Manager of Marketing will collaborate with leaders across Verticals, Product, Sales, and Operations to create and execute a comprehensive marketing plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Vertical, Product & Solutions Marketing: Build and execute strategic marketing plans for assigned verticals and sales organizations, aligning with growth objectives. Develop go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new products and solutions for regional activation while overseeing global upscaling. Partner with Product and Vertical leaders to define positioning, messaging, and value propositions that differentiate offerings. Create priority sales enablement tools and collateral to support revenue growth.
Demand Generation & Campaign Execution: Design and implement multi-channel demand generation campaigns (email, digital ads, webinars, events) to drive qualified leads and pipeline growth for assigned geographical region. Optimize the marketing funnel, manage automation and lead nurturing workflows, and track campaign performance for continuous improvement.
Marketing Communications & Brand Building: Develop integrated campaigns that reinforce brand positioning and product and solutions messaging. Create content for blogs, videos, case studies, social media, and thought leadership. Ensure brand consistency across all channels and manage event marketing and PR initiatives to boost visibility.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product management, operations, business development, and communications team members. Serve as a liaison between product, vertical, and sales teams, leveraging Xylem’s internal network and external vendors as needed.
Customer Insights & Research: Support voice of the customer research, develop customer personas, and understand customer journeys and competitive landscape. Apply insights to refine marketing strategies and messaging.
Budget & Performance Management: Manage assigned budget, develop reporting related to marketing impact, and ensure on-time delivery of marketing plans and achievement of marketing qualified leads (MQLs), sales qualified leads (SQLs), and Thought Leadership objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA preferred.
8+ years of experience in developing and executing marketing strategies in a matrixed work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with B2B industrial marketing

The estimated salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
