Overview

Electric is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and develop our Account Executive team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Sales, this role will initially focus on driving new business and acquiring customers while coaching and developing new AE hires. This is a critical position that has the opportunity to manage a high-performing team and meaningfully impact overall company objectives. The ideal candidate will be an inclusive, customer-centric leader with a passion for solving problems and driving results.

What you’ll do

  • Increase sales of Electric’s software products, inclusive of 3rd party offerings. You will drive new business from our partner-led growth motion and be a critical player in helping provide feedback on partner deals and leads as we launch with new channels.

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly pipeline and new business goals, carrying a quota for the first 3-6 months as a player/coach, moving into a full time leadership role as you hire and train the team reporting to you in Q1& Q2. The quota burden will move to your direct reports, and you will assume a full-time leadership position.

  • Proactively identify customer needs and develop strategies and solutions

  • Serve as an escalation point for complex customer issues, supporting all teams in meeting the needs of our customers

  • Promote and drive closing “good” revenue with customers aligned to the scope of our offerings, with minimal discounting or special terms applied to limit business risk

  • Own your team as a P&L owner. Make sure every dollar invested at all times drives the highest ROI (tools, time, people, process).

  • Accurately forecast the business, managing resources and maximizing profitability

  • Partner closely with Revenue Operations, Customer Experience, Product, and other teams to identify and lead cross-functional projects and initiatives that move the business forward

  • Hire, train, and coach Account Executives

  • Execute on overall department strategy to achieve team goals and company-wide objectives

  • Influence other leaders and teams at the company to ensure a cohesive customer experience

  • Build a diverse and inclusive culture on the team and create an environment where everyone can develop and grow in their careers

Who you are

  • 2-4 years of leadership experience managing and leading teams; team lead experience is acceptable, management is preferred.

  • Experience scaling a high-velocity Sales team preferred

  • Selling to SMB segments and some experience in mid-market deals is required.

  • Passionate about coaching and career development

  • Consistent track record of exceeding sales goals and driving meaningful business results

  • Ability to think tactically, operationally savvy and data-driven in decisions

  • Customer-centric mindset with a genuine desire to help customers succeed

  • Collaborative approach with experience working cross-functionally to achieve goals

Excited about the opportunity, but worried you don’t meet all the requirements? We recognize that people are less likely to apply to jobs where they don’t meet every single qualification. Imposter syndrome can get in the way of meeting spectacular candidates. We encourage you to apply anyway, and give us both the chance to find out if you’re the right candidate for this or other roles!
