Job Responsibilities:
As Manager of Materials Planning & Logistics (MP&L) you lead and optimize logistics operations across planning, warehousing, transportation, and production support.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of Materials, Planning and Logistics (MP&L) Management for our Magna Steyr division in Mesa.
- Build and lead a strong MP&L organization.
- Plan and establish robust processes to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
- Establish and further develop all necessary MP&L tools, methods and equipment to drive a lean logistics approach following the requirements of the Magna Factory Concept.
- Develop and lead a high-performing logistics team and implement standard operating procedures.
- Manage material flow from suppliers to production and finished goods.
- Ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective management of warehouse operations to support production and distribution needs.
- Work cross functional with manufacturing engineering, procurement, quality, IT and the customer to align logistics plans with project timelines and technical requirements.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in automotive engineering or logistics
- Minimum 10 years of logistics experience, including leadership roles
- Lean logistics education and project management knowledge preferred
- Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and logistics planning tools
- Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and process management skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on operational excellence
