Carrier Enterprise currently has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Inside Sales Manager HVAC

This can be located in either our Charlotte NC, Raleigh NC, Summerville SC, or Nashville TN branch


Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a national distributor of residential and light commercial Heati.ng, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts and supplies through licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors. CE operates primarily in the business-to-business environment where its products are sold through licensed HVAC dealers and HVAC contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier, Bryant & Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets.  CE offers customers a wide range of HVAC/R product lines, competitive pricing, best in class customer service and valuable, timesaving services that positions CE as an industry leader. Summary


The Commercial HVAC Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading the inside sales team.  The inside sales team supports commercial sales for Carrier Enterprise and helps the team reach the sales and margin plans for all lines of business. Key responsibilities include leading a high-performing sales team, evaluating commercial projects, training the inside sales team, and delivering solutions that meet the specific needs of clients. This role involves working closely with a network of internal partners including the commercial sales manager, sales engineers, account managers and business development representatives. The successful candidate will be able to lead a technical sales team that can provide sales support to internal and external customers. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff, organize, assign, and monitor work process
  • Develop and deliver training and education programs for the inside sales team
  • Develop strong working relationships with supported teams
  • Develop working relationships with key customers
  • Partner with regional sales leadership to support sales objectives and goals
  • Help manage sales programs and promotions
  • Provide technical information and support to customers and outside sales staff
  • Ensure the inside team provides accurate takeoff and estimates
  • Ensure the team promptly addresses requests for replacement quotes
  • Maintain job tracking system, report to HQ, update for sales meetings
  • Follow up on bids presented to customers
  • Ensure phone support is available during business hours
  • Oversee inside sales vendor relationships

Position Requirements:

  • BS Mechanical Engineering degree w/5+ years’ experience in HVAC sales
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and business judgment
  • Experience in estimating replacement, plan and spec, and design/build projects
  • Strong software skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience selling Carrier commercial products
  • Previous experience in a sales leadership capacity within the HVAC industry
  • Deep knowledge of the commercial HVAC marketplace

 

Additional Comments:

  • Position is incentivized
  • Minimal local travel (-5%), primarily remote work environment
  • Position reports to Director of Commercial Sales
