Lead a team of product professionals responsible for defining and maintaining the common product hierarchy across all the Great Local Brands (GLB's) of Ahold Delhaize USA (ADUSA). Responsible for establishing a supervisory model for future product hierarchy modifications. Develop and implement strategies to improve the accuracy, relevance, and consistency of product categorizations with the GLB's of ADUSA - ensuring alignment to industry standards for item placement (using internal and syndicated data) that meets customer expectations.
***Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville
Essential job functions:
  • Establish and maintain documentation and guidelines for any common product hierarchy modifications, ensuring teams are adhering to best practices.
  • Create and facilitate a forum to manage and address escalations related to product categorization discrepancies and work towards rapid resolution.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages knowledge transfer and seeks continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate the execution, retention, and continued evolution of Category Roles across all 14 Portfolio teams - and establish cadence for bi-annual review roles to ensure we remain current.
  • Refine WOW to optimize category roles end-state (partnering with Pricing Support and Merchandising Teams) to ensure cohesion to the 4 P's we are executing.
  • Monitor market trends, consumer insights and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for hierarchy adjustments and updates; and collaborate cross functionally with key stakeholders (e.g., our data and insights teams) to continue refining this work.
  • Owns facilitation and execution of our work to assign roles to each of our Center Store Categories (e.g. Win, Core, Routine, and One Stop) - and refining these as consumers needs evolve. Clarity on the role each category plays within our GLB's is a critical component to our allocation of investments to meet our customers changing omnichannel needs.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our values.

Qualificaations:
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in retail, category management, planning and negotiations
  • Excellent team building, organization, and leadership skills with minimum of 4 years of team leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated history of challenging the status quo and nurturing internal relationships.
  • Exceptional oral and written communications skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from a variety of sources and present this to varying levels of the organization.
  • Skilled collaborator with a proven track record of advocacy across departments and levels of the organization - with a focus on change management and conflict resolution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to interpret and leverage syndicated/internal data to influence stakeholders
  • Detail oriented and results driven with a commitment to delivering high quality outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8+ years in total commercial experience (Sourcing, Category Management, etc.)
  • Firm understanding of ADUSA financial reporting (P&L management) for both legacy networks & demonstrated success with educating others on these topics.
ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $108,880 - $163,320
IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $125,200 - $187,800
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
