JOB OVERVIEW:

THE·TEAM is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Experiential Operations Manager to join our team of event professionals in delivering best-in-class experiences for our clients. The primary responsibility of this role is to plan, manage, and execute live events, brand activations, and fan engagement experiences across sports and entertainment properties. This includes working across venues, tours, and large-scale events to deliver high-impact, immersive experiences for fans, partners, and clients.


The Manager will also collaborate with colleagues to grow new and existing partnerships across all business units and company initiatives. Key responsibilities include conceptualizing, developing, and overseeing multi-market tours, event series, and engagement strategies, as well as managing the budgets, logistics, and operational execution associated with these activations. Additionally, the Experiential Operations Manager will support other experiential programs and initiatives during the off-season.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Pre-Event Planning:

  • Serve as a liaison between clients, vendors, and internal departments
  • Develop and manage budgets for each event activation
  • Lead team communications during the planning stages, including weekly status calls
  • Create and manage detailed timelines for team members, vendors, and clients
  • Conduct venue and vendor research aligned with event needs
  • Develop event presentations and proposals, including layouts and program designs
  • Collaborate with creative teams to conceptualize and manage artwork design and production
  • Partner with internal departments to determine operational, logistical, and technical requirements based on client objectives
  • Prepare activation materials and coordinate with logistics teams for deployment
  • Oversee inventory and asset management for event materials
  • Attend site visits and conduct venue evaluations

On-Site Event Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients to ensure goals and objectives are met
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of event activations
  • Manage and direct on-site staff, volunteers, and vendors
  • Oversee event setup, execution, and teardown
  • Implement operational logistics plans, including loading and unloading event assets
  • Coordinate team travel to and from event sites
  • Address and resolve on-site challenges as they arise
  • Perform other duties as needed to support event success

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 1-3 years of experience in event production, event management, experiential marketing, or related fields preferred
  • Familiarity with sports, entertainment, and live event environments
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships across teams, clients, vendors, and partners
  • Strong active listening, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience leading or coordinating teams
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to take initiative and ownership of projects
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing budgets is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and event management software
  • Willingness to travel up to 65%, including weekends and evenings
  • Ability to adapt to new environments, challenges, and team dynamics
  • Comfortable using power tools and operating forklifts (training provided)
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship, freelance, campus, or hands-on event experience is valued
  • Experience working with a variety of audiences, communities, or consumer groups
  • Familiarity with virtual event platforms and digital engagement strategies
  • Experience using power tools and forklifts (training can be provided if needed)
  • Passion for live events, sports, entertainment, and fan engagement
