The Manager of Demand Planning & Supply Chain, reporting to the Associate Director of Integrated Business Planning (IBP), plays a critical role in overseeing demand and supply planning activities across Aftermarket. This position is responsible for forecasting and managing demand across all product categories, ensuring optimal inventory levels to meet market needs while minimizing excess stock.

The role requires a data-driven approach to continuous improvement, leveraging statistical analysis and historical trends to support informed decision-making. The Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Operations—to align product availability and drive a consensus-based demand plan that supports key downstream business processes.

This individual will develop and implement forecasting strategies aimed at achieving high accuracy and timely order fulfillment, while also leading long-term, annual, and tactical planning initiatives to support business growth and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Demand Forecasting: Drive consensus demand forecast for complete Aftermarket business using historical sales data, seasonality and input from sales and marketing teams. This person ensures to have a monthly demand sign-off meeting with sales leaders
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work cross-functionally with sales, marketing and factories to align demand forecast with business targets.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained by balancing demand and supply while avoiding stockouts and excess inventory. Also, closely work with sales and marketing teams to reduce slow moving/non-moving inventories.
  • Forecast Accuracy & BIAS: Continuously monitor and review forecast accuracy and BIAS with sales and product team to adjust future demand based on changing market conditions.
  • New Product Launches: Closely work with product management team to incorporate sales forecasts for new product launches into the demand forecasting process.
  • Factory Coordination: Work with supply planners to ensure the timely order placement and replenishment of products based on demand forecasts.
  • Process improvement: Continuously work to enhance supply chain strategies by evaluating industry “Best Practices” in forecasting as well as understanding technological advances throughout industry and how these advances impact the company.
Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in forecasting, demand planning, or supply chain management required
  • Preferred MBA or MS in Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable business insights
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Global supply chain experience is a plus
  • Proven leadership abilities with a demonstrated track record of developing and mentoring high-performing teams
