Summary:

The Manager, Business Continuity will work with business stakeholders across the Cook Children’s Health Care System to develop a framework of policies, procedures and risk management activities that will minimize business interruption due to disasters and/or information systems not being available.  The Manager will perform risk and business impact analysis that will be used to develop business continuity plans and identify disaster recovery and resiliency improvement opportunities for critical information systems.  Additionally, the Manager will assist business stakeholders in testing business continuity plans by developing downtime scenarios, tabletop and other exercises that will help identify opportunities for improvement.  

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Risk Management or a related field required.

  • 5+ years' experience in business continuity management or a related field required.

  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 22301 or NIST SP 800-34.

  • Strong understanding of project management principles and data technologies, expert level knowledge of IT Service Management principles, best practices and frameworks such as ITIL.
