Job Description

Portfolio and pricing managers at U.S. Bank are focused on supporting proactive pricing strategies, product planning, technology development, management, and customer experience to deliver on our enterprise and business line strategic initiatives, staying one step ahead of an evolving economic and technological environment.
 

Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

PRICING STRATEGY, VISION, AND PLANNING
• Support Portfolio and Pricing Team Lead in creating and implementing pricing strategies (target customer segments, markets, channels, go to market approach, and value propositions).
• Has technical know-how, understands product technical architecture and the economic impacts of product pricing strategies.
CHANNEL ALIGNMENT AND MANAGEMENT
• Gather competitive, customer, market, and internal business priorities to design, develop, and continually optimize solutions that drive adoption, engagement, and growth.
• Leverage enterprise platforms and capabilities, to improve speed to market and drive both development and ongoing support efficiencies e.g., provide more functionality for same investment or same amount of functionality for less investment.
BUSINESS LINE ADVOCACY
• Serve as point of contact for specific segments or portfolios, collaborate to drive business objectives, act as a liaison to ensure effective communication and execution of priorities.
• Participate in pricing discussions and negotiations for the business line, in collaboration with Relationship Managers, Division Managers, and Business Line Leadership.
• Advocate on behalf of the bank for pricing that is in service of prudent balance sheet management while taking into account strong client relationships.
• Engage with enabling functions (e.g., marketing, sales, training, operations, etc.) to position and promote supported and planned pricing and product changes to achieve business goals.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT AND OPTIMIZATION
• Develop, analyze, monitor, and report performance metrics from internal and external sources to identify key trends and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Utilize analytics to derive pricing performance insights to improve progress on identified strategies and initiatives.
• Influence and drive alignment across functions, channels, and lines of business to set pricing strategy, manage performance, and optimize execution.
TECHNOLOGY IMPLEMENTATION
• Heavy involvement in the rollout, implementation, and adoption of pricing tools and strategies.
• Drive education of sales tools and increase accountability standards to create consistency and structure of routines.
• Identify new applications and approaches with existing technology to achieve beneficial business line outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

• Product Management experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Technology or equivalent work experience

• Demonstrated analytical and pricing strategy experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

• 6+ years of experience in pricing, product, portfolio, or strategy roles within commercial/corporate banking or financial services.

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional pricing programs with measurable impact on revenue, rate beta, and customer experience.

• Strong financial acumen and experience influencing senior stakeholders.

• Expertise in pricing strategy, product P&L ownership, and go-to-market execution.

• Ability to anticipate shifting market priorities, internal, and external customer needs in a manner that consistently adds value.

• Experience with pricing tools, analytics, and BI dashboards; skilled in data-driven decision-making.

• Track record in performance measurement, optimization, and channel alignment.

• Skilled negotiator with ability to balance client relationships and balance sheet goals.

Location expectations 
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
