We're seeking an Account Executive (AE) to join our Client Partnerships practice, the function that drives sales, business development, and revenue generation activities across the firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare consulting and a proven track record of managing and growing client accounts. This role is critical in driving revenue growth and ensuring client satisfaction through strategic account management and business development activities.

We work with a diverse range of clients spanning pharmaceuticals, biotech, health plans, government, providers, advocacy and patient groups, and other organizations who seek to improve the healthcare system. What you'll do
- Account Management: Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts within the life sciences sector, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and ensuring they receive exceptional service.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts. Develop and implement strategies to expand Avalere's market presence within key accounts and achieve revenue targets. Identify new prospect contacts and engage with them to generate new pipeline opportunities.
- Consultative Selling: Understand client needs and industry challenges. Create and deliver tailored consulting solutions that add value and meet client objectives.
- Market Insights: Stay current with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities. Use this knowledge to inform sales strategies and provide insights to clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales enablement, proposal development, and subject matter experts/project delivery teams, to ensure client needs are met and solutions are delivered effectively.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on account performance, sales metrics, and client feedback. Use data to drive decision-making and improve account strategies.
Key performance indicators
- Revenue and Sales Growth: Percentage of sales targets met or exceeded via existing accounts. Pipeline generation in excess of pipeline required to hit sales goals.
- Client Satisfaction Scores: Ratings from client satisfaction surveys and feedback.
- Account Management and Engagement: Depth of services and solutions utilized by clients, number of meetings and touchpoints with key clients.
- Strategic Contributions: Participation in strategic planning through market and client initiatives.
- Operational Efficiency: Quality and management of the sales pipeline, accuracy of sales forecasts and projections.
About you
- Bachelor's degree, Master’s degree in a health-related field a plus
- Range of 5-7 years of experience in account management, sales, or business development, preferably in the healthcare consulting industry.
- Proven track record of managing and growing client accounts and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships and influence decision-makers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex client needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry trends, regulations, and challenges is a must.
- Experience in preparing and proofing documents for senior-level audience
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible in a fast-paced environment
- Strong ability to multi-task and can prioritize work streams effectively under deadline, with timely execution and resolution of action items
- Ethical, confident, and creative, with a persistent "can do" attitude
- Commitment to working in a team environment with an emphasis on collaboration and maintaining positive relationship with colleagues and clients to achieve solutions-oriented goals
- Proactive mindset and approach, ability to think several steps ahead of known client and teammate needs, and suggest improvements to existing processes

- Experience managing multiple initiatives/work streams simultaneously preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
