The Legal Technical Writer I position is to support the Company’s Document Management Program. In this role, you will support Company leaders and attorneys by developing, drafting, and implementing Company policies, process guidelines and job aids.


 

Outcomes and Activities:

  • Efficiently Development Documents: Become a subject matter expert in your assigned areas of the business, and provide valuable feedback and guidance in developing policies, process guidelines and job aids in those areas. Ensure that all documents developed by you are accurate, current, clear, concise, compliant, and consistent. Support other areas of the business you are not directly assigned to with document development as the need arises.
  • Timely Publish Documents: Work with business leaders and stakeholders to set clear expectations and deadlines for document development milestones. Timely deliver new and/or amended policies, process guidelines and job aids
  • Document Library and Submission Tool: Assist with the administration of the Company’s Document Library and Document Submission Tool to ensure team members have access to documents necessary for them to do their job

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related major AND relevant experience. Applicants that do not have the stated education requirements, but present with 4+ years of actual experience as a technical writer or a related field will be considered for this position
  • Ability to independently engage senior leaders in a confident and professional manner
  • Ability to quickly learn and become a subject matter expert in new systems/processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and act on information promptly and effectively
  • Organized and capable of meeting deadlines
  • Self-driven, motivated to help, and able to perform with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Professional
  • Attendance as required by department

Preferred:

  • Experience in a Communications or Technical Writing role (Corporate Communications, technical writer, publication editor, newsletter, etc.)

Targeted Compensation: $33.00/hr - $41.00/hr + an annual bonus plan
