Learning Experience Designer
(Contract → Potential Full-time in 2026)

Design learning that drives performance and impact

We’re hiring a Learning Experience Designer to ensure our content is personalized to the unique needs, industries, and contexts of our clients. This role is about crafting learning that feels relevant, practical, and unforgettable. You’ll work closely with consultants, facilitators, and client stakeholders to co-create learning journeys that are both engaging and grounded in behavioral science. This is a contract role with the potential to convert into a full-time position in 2026 based on business needs, performance, and mutual fit.

What you’ll do (aka accountabilities)
  • Partner with consultants and client stakeholders to diagnose needs, co-create solutions, and connect learning directly to business outcomes.

  • Personalize and adapt content so it reflects client industries, roles, and priorities.

  • Design blended learning experiences, including live workshops, self-paced modules, simulations, role plays, and digital resources.

  • Build facilitator-ready materials (guides, toolkits, role plays) to enable consistent and effective delivery.

  • Develop learning journeys that support skill retention and on-the-job application.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure programs are delivered on time and with impact.

Success metrics
  • On-time delivery: 95% of scoped learning assets delivered by agreed milestones.

  • Client satisfaction: Average client alignment/feedback ≥4.5/5 across projects.

  • Facilitator usability: Facilitator feedback ≥4.5/5 on clarity and ease of delivery.

  • Learning impact: Learner ratings of relevance and immediate usefulness ≥4.6/5.

  • Iteration & improvement: Evidence of continuous refinement based on data and feedback.

What you’ll bring (aka requirements)
  • 5+ years in instructional design, learning experience design, or a related role.

  • Strong consulting and stakeholder management skills.

  • End-to-end project management experience (discovery → design → launch).

  • Deep understanding of learning science and adult learning principles.

  • Experience across multiple modalities: ILT, VILT, WBT, microlearning, social learning.

  • Fluency in tools like PowerPoint/Google Slides, video editing software, LMS platforms, and project management tools.

  • Attention to detail and quality review skills.

  • Strong communication skills across cultures and time zones.

  • Familiarity with generative AI for content development.

  • Experience working with global clients or teams.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience designing leadership or people-manager programs.

  • Exposure to start-ups or high-growth companies.

  • Familiarity with tools like Figma, Slack, ClickUp

The deets
  • Start date: ASAP

  • Location: Remote (U.S.)

  • Employment type: Contract (1099), with potential conversion to full-time in 2026.

  • Compensation: Hourly or per-deliverable, based on experience and location.

  • Hours: ~15–25 hours per week; flexible schedule with agreed milestones.

  • Benefits: Contractor role (benefits not included).

  • Legal: Must be authorized to work as an independent contractor in the U.S. Work-for-hire agreement with IP assignment.
