About the RoleAs a Senior Benefits and Compensation Specialist, you will be the driving force behind our employee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive, equitable, and aligned with our company’s strategic goals. You will manage and optimize our benefits offerings—including health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs—while providing exceptional support and guidance to employees and leadership. Your expertise will help streamline processes, negotiate with vendors, and ensure compliance with legal requirements. With a focus on data-driven insights and clear communication, you will play a key role in fostering a positive employee experience, supporting organizational growth, and maintaining our reputation as an employer of choice. This is a hands-on, strategic role perfect for a detail-oriented professional passionate about creating programs that enhance employee well-being and drive business success.
ResponsibilitiesBenefits Management- Oversee and manage health, retirement, leave, wellness programs, and COBRA administration.
- Manage vendor relationships for benefits broker, medical, dental, and other vendors; resolve escalations and claims issues.
- Lead open enrollment processes, including system configuration, communication, and employee education.
- Manage Leaves of Absence, FMLA, Short Term Disability, and related employee counseling and documentation.
- Conduct annual 401(k) audit, coordinate with external vendors, and resolve issues.
- Administer COBRA open enrollment, subsidies, and notifications.
- Review and approve billing, invoicing, and automation projects with vendors.
- Support compensation strategy, role pricing, and job data submission for surveys (Radford).
- Manage bonus processes, including calculations, updates, and payouts.
- Support executive, board, and consultant grants.
- Provide compensation data and modeling support to HRBPs and leadership.
- Lead HRIS design and functionality enhancements for onboarding, compensation & bonuses, and site-specific processes.
- Manage employee data updates, support cases, and report generation for stakeholders.
- Oversee vendor relationships related to HRIS automation, data feeds, and system integrations.
- Work with technical teams to implement system changes and automate workflows.
- Onboard corporate employees, execute I-9 processes, and update organizational charts.
- Support audits (external such as KPMG and internal compliance checks).
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Manage process documentation, reporting, and compliance obligations, including ACA 1095-C forms.
- Support process audits and participate in walk-throughs with external auditors.
- Serve as a primary contact for employee questions related to benefits and compensation.
- Develop clear communication materials for open enrollment, onboarding, and ongoing benefit education.
- Build support for people operations initiatives and facilitate smooth communication channels.
- Handle special projects and stretch assignments as needed, including process improvements and automation initiatives.
- 8+ years of experience in benefits, compensation, or people operations.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. benefits programs, compensation practices, and leave management.
- Experience with people systems (HRIS, benefits platforms, payroll integrations).
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to turn data into insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a knack for simplifying complex information.
- A collaborative, employee-focused mindset with a passion for creating positive people experiences.

Expected Pay Range
$90,000-$110,000
