In this role, you will:
- Participate in complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and documentation for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Be responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of a new cloud management platform
- Establish additional standards and patterns to grow Golang software development
- Create applications and services that promote efficiency and cost savings
- Integrate to cloud services providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform
- Collaborate and influence other software engineers on modern development practices and quality programming code
- Play an essential role as an individual contributor in driving the completion of software engineering epics, stories, and tasks pertaining to cloud portfolio business needs
- Create meaningful documentation to assist in delivering high-value systems and applications for the entire software development practice across the globe
- Experience developing with advanced artificial intelligence (AI) in a formal and enterprise software development lifecycle environment
- Experience in a Team Lead role, responsible for code review and active mentorship of more junior engineers on the team
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Software Development experience with architecting, designing and developing frontend and backend applications using modern software programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript)
- 4+ years of experience in developing stateful software which utilizes either traditional relational databases or alternatively non-relational databases
- 6+ months of experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and/or agentic workflows in generative AI application development
Desired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience working in an agile environment
- 2+ years of experience in Golang
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
- Knowledge and understanding of application and web security
- Knowledge and understanding of technology performance: analysis, automated testing, and tuning for applications
- Knowledge of one or more major Cloud Services Providers (CSPs) such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and their primary web service offerings, understanding the functionality of code-deploy frameworks such as Amazon CDK
- Golang software development experience
- Temporal.io development experience with transaction, function, workflow, and durability functionality
