Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President Lead Commercial Mortgage Loan Administration Specialist within the Commercial Mortgage Loan & Securities Finance (CMLSF) team. This team specializes in financing various investment banks, mortgage REITs, debt funds, commercial real estate finance companies and other lenders' acquisition/origination of commercial real estate loans. This role will work closely with the funding desk, in-house/outside legal counsel, and the deal management team.
In this role, you will:
- Review, document and close Repurchase Facility (REPO) transactions secured by commercial real estate loans.
- Ensure receipt of collateral documents; coordinate transaction closings and disbursements; ensure all files and procedures are in compliance with government regulations and Bank policies; and conduct periodic file audits.
- Facilitate transaction fundings, disbursements and payoffs, monthly interest and principal settlements, establishment of custodial and DDA accounts, and maintenance of related files.
- Enter facility bookings into the system of record.
- Lead a variety of pre-close activities for moderately complex to complex commercial mortgage loans, including coordinating all aspects of loan closings.
- Accurately evaluate and upload data into the systems of record to ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with coordination of loan documentation that may also include documentation purchased from third party sources with internal staff and the Corporate Legal group.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks and develop procedural modifications.
- Serve as an escalation point in the resolution of internal and external client issues.
- Identify activities of the team to ensure conformity with established procedures.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- 5+ years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task and work in a deadline driven environment are essential.
- Ability to work extra hours when necessary to service client needs.
- Experience with the preparation, review and/or administration of commercial real estate loans or other comparable assets.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Experience with loan booking systems (such as nCino and LIQ) preferred.
- Ability to travel as needed
- Willingness to work on-site in accordance with current office requirements
- This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire.
