Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Aligned Finance Analyst to work in the CIB Markets Finance group. In this role, you will serve as a strategic finance partner to the Markets organization, driving financial analysis, peer benchmarking, and executive reporting to support business performance and decision-making.
Finance brings together enterprise functions that drive Wells Fargo's financial management, including accounting and control, financial planning and analysis, line of business finance, treasury, tax management, and the company's investment portfolios. They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.

In this role, you will:
- Lead financial analysis and performance advisory initiatives for the CIB Markets line of business
- Partner with the broader finance team on performance metrics relative to peers
- Develop forward-looking financial plans, forecasts, expense management solutions, and strategic recommendations
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior business executives
- Create and deliver executive-level presentations for weekly reporting, monthly business reviews, and quarterly earnings preparation
- Drive and implement finance-related strategic initiatives across the organization
- Partner cross-functionally with CIB Finance, Investor Relations, Strategy, and line-of-business teams to address key priorities and resolve complex issues
- Build strong relationships with Markets leadership to act as a trusted advisor
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to senior managers in finance and in CIB Markets to resolve issues and achieve goals
- 5+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience within Corporate and Investment Banking disciplines, including Markets industry experience
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, financial systems (e.g., Essbase) and emerging AI technologies (CoPilot)
- Strong communication and presentation skills including communicating in a confident and succinct manner
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while managing multiple priorities
- Strong analytical skills including financial metrics analysis
- Experience with disciplines such as accounting, group controllers, corporate treasury, regulatory capital, financial planning and analysis and/or product control
- Knowledge of Wells Fargo's balance sheet/product offerings
- Visual/verbal data trend presentation preparation for management reporting
- Knowledge/understanding of report analysis: emphasis on accuracy and telling a story with supporting details
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule from our 550 S. Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 location.
