As a Lead Analyst, HRIS at RXO, you will serve as a hands-on HRIS lead who keeps Workday and related HR systems—including HCM, Talent Acquisition, Compensation , and other Workday SKUs as well as reporting capabilities—accurate, reliable, and easy to use. You will translate business needs into scalable HRIS solutions, strengthen data integrity and compliance, support system enhancements and releases.

What your day-to-day will look like

  • Lead day-to-day HRIS operations and support across Workday HCM, Talent Acquisition, Time and Absence, Payroll, Reporting, and related HR technology.
  • Configure, test, and maintain Workday business processes, security, notifications, condition rules, calculated fields, reports, dashboards, templates, and system tables.
  • Lead HRIS projects and workstreams, including requirements gathering, impact analysis, project planning, testing, deployment readiness, stakeholder communication, and post-launch support.
  • Manage Workday release review activities, including feature evaluation, regression testing, UAT coordination, impact documentation, and adoption recommendations.
  • Design, maintain, and validate Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, EIBs, audit files, and payroll-impacting reporting outputs.
  • Support SOX-ready controls, approval processes, security reviews, audit evidence, payroll-impacting changes, and compliance-related HRIS activities.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex HRIS issues, troubleshooting defects, coordinating with vendors or support partners, and driving root-cause resolution.
  • Maintain SOPs, job aids, testing scripts, release notes, checklists, process documentation, and knowledge articles for HRIS users and team members.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual work, simplify processes, reduce rework, improve governance, and strengthen stakeholder experience.

Leadership Functions 

This role may provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, peer review, and work direction to HRIS analysts, specialists, contractors, or project resources. The Lead, HRIS is expected to model strong execution, promote accountability, mentor team members, and manage work in accordance with company policies, HRIS governance standards, and compliance requirements.

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive Workday or HRIS experience in an enterprise environment, including hands-on configuration, reporting, testing, audits, and HR operations support.
  • Experience supporting Workday HCM, Recruiting/Talent Acquisition,  Compensation, Time and Absence and Payroll touchpoints, Security, Reporting, and downstream system impacts.
  • Proven experience leading projects, workstreams, release activities, requirements gathering, UAT/regression testing, deployment planning, and stakeholder support.
  • Advanced Excel and HR reporting skills; experience with Workday Report Writer, calculated fields, dashboards, EIBs, integrations, or payroll-impacting reports preferred.
  • Prior experience mentoring team members, reviewing work products, or serving as an escalation point for complex issues.

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Workday Pro certifications in Core HCM, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, Payroll, Report Writer, Advanced Compensation, or related areas.
  • Experience supporting Workday in a large-scale, multi-location, global, or matrixed organization.
