Want to Make a Difference In Oncology
Do you want to contribute to the future of Oncology companion diagnostics (CDx) in the Biopharmaceutical industry? Join Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., as a Senior Manager of Pharma Oncology CDx Business Development and be key player in growing our Oncology diagnostics partnering (DxP) business into the next decade. Work in collaborative teams leading to implement successful business development strategies on a global scale. At Thermo Fisher Scientific, we have a uniquely differentiated next-generation sequencing (NGS) platform currently supporting Pharm partner clinical trials, drug registrations and commercial CDx launches worldwide. We have an industry leading NGS CDx team with a decade of experience and a successful track record enabling cancer patients to access innovative Oncology therapies.
Key Responsibilities
1) Diagnostic Partnering Strategy: Thoroughly analyze the Oncology Biopharmaceutical industry, drug development pipelines and the CDx competitive landscape. Partner with global teams to develop robust Biopharma penetration strategies, Oncology CDx value propositions and contribute to the DxP annual growth plan.
2) Lead Business Development: Coordinate the entire business development process including, lead generation, prospecting, cost modeling, proposals and contract negotiations leading to successful contract closure.
3) Cross-Functional Teamwork: Collaborate with global Clinical Sequencing Division functional teams including Research & Development, Program Management, Alliance Management, Product Management, Regulatory and Clinical Affairs, Finance and Legal counsel during deal development and closure.
4) Results: Develop and implement DxP plans to achieve individual and team business objectives to meet or accede annual and strategic goals.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
1) Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences required preferably with experience in Oncology, clinical trials and Business Development, or other related fields. An MBA, PhD or equivalent life science degree is helpful.
2) Industry Knowledge: Practical understanding of Oncology biomarker and biopharmaceutical development as well as molecular companion diagnostics development.
3) Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in-depth experience in business development, product management or marketing within the life science, molecular diagnostic or biopharmaceutical industries.
4) Business Insight: Consistent track record navigating and mastering global Oncology drug development business landscape establishing and cultivating valuable client relationships with key business partners leading to positive business outcomes.
5) Skills: Outstanding communications, team building and leadership. A self-starter proficient in analytical, presentation and influence others.
6) Travel: Up to 50% domestic and international travel as required.
