Sales employees will concentrate on acquiring new business and conducting customer visits in the field. When not in the field, they are expected to collaborate with their team from their assigned office location, if available.

The Lead Account Manager 3, Channel Mobility is responsible for developing and executing strategic growth initiatives through indirect channel partners focused on State, Local Government, Education (SLED), Public Safety, and FirstNet opportunities. This role serves as the primary business lead for a portfolio of strategic partners, driving mobility revenue growth through partner enablement, joint account planning, executive relationship management, and coordinated go-to-market execution with Public Sector sales organizations.

The position acts as a trusted advisor to partners and internal stakeholders, identifying opportunities to expand AT&T Mobility, FirstNet, IoT, and wireless solutions within public sector agencies while developing long-term growth strategies that increase market share and accelerate partner performance.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Strategic Partner Management

  • Own executive-level relationships with assigned channel partners.

  • Develop annual business plans and growth strategies aligned to Public Sector Mobility objectives.

  • Conduct regular business reviews to evaluate performance, pipeline health, growth opportunities, and strategic priorities.

  • Influence partner investment decisions, resource allocation, and go-to-market activities to support AT&T growth goals.

Public Sector Sales Growth

  • Develop strategies to increase mobility adoption across government, education, public safety, and FirstNet agencies.

  • Identify whitespace opportunities and create expansion plans focused on customer acquisition and market penetration.

  • Drive achievement of revenue, subscriber, and pipeline objectives through assigned partners.

  • Collaborate with Public Sector Sales Leaders and Account Managers to pursue strategic opportunities and agency initiatives.

Co-Sell Leadership & Opportunity Management

  • Facilitate joint account planning sessions with partners and Public Sector sales teams.

  • Lead pipeline reviews, opportunity strategy discussions, and account pursuit planning.

  • Coordinate resources across sales, solutions engineering, operations, and partner organizations.

  • Ensure opportunities progress effectively through the sales cycle from identification through close.

Partner Enablement & Development

  • Deliver partner enablement programs focused on mobility, FirstNet, public sector procurement, and competitive positioning.

  • Support partner training, certifications, and sales readiness initiatives.

  • Provide ongoing coaching to partner executives and sales teams on AT&T solutions and growth opportunities.

  • Share market intelligence and industry trends that strengthen partner effectiveness.

Business Planning & Execution

  • Analyze performance data, market trends, and partner production to identify growth opportunities.

  • Establish performance metrics, business goals, and strategic initiatives for assigned partners.

  • Develop targeted plans to grow market share within public sector segments.

  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve objectives.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the liaison between Channel Distribution, Public Sector Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Partner organizations.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve partner productivity and customer outcomes.

  • Influence business decisions and drive strategic alignment without direct supervisory authority.

  • Champion programs and initiatives that accelerate Public Sector Mobility growth.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Technology, or a related discipline preferred.

  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 8+ years of sales, channel management, business development, account management, or related experience.

  • Experience managing strategic partner relationships and indirect sales channels.

  • Experience developing and executing business plans that drive revenue growth and market expansion.

  • Knowledge of wireless mobility solutions, telecommunications, IoT, and enterprise technology solutions.

  • Preferred experience within Public Sector, Government, Education, Public Safety, or FirstNet-related sales environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead complex cross-functional initiatives.

  • Strong analytical, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
