About the Team/Role:
Sawatch Labs, a WEX company, provides the market leading fleet electrification software platform used by organizations of all sizes. We unlock the potential in fleet operational data to provide data-driven, actionable insights so our customers can sustainably operate their fleet. From identifying which vehicle to replace with an EV to scenario planning on how to right-size their fleet to managing the EVs that are already in their fleet, our software analytics simplifies fleet management.
As a Junior Software Development Engineer in the Sawatch team, you will contribute to designing and developing our suite of fleet electrification products and reporting tools. Your time will be divided across the stack, with involvement in end-to-end development of our products. On the backend, you will be involved in developing and maintain our data processing and our complex analytics models. On the frontend, you will assist in building out and improving our product offerings, in terms of both the underlying functionality and UI/UX.
You will liaise with other teams within Sawatch Labs and more broadly at WEX, to ensure we’re delivering client-driven improvements consistently and promptly. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact in this small, agile team right, from the start. If you’re interested in being a part of the energy transition, and are eager to grow your skills in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!
How you’ll make an impact:
Traverse the whole stack: Build and maintain database structures, models (energy models, charge event models), REST API and product interfaces.
Build out new features in real time, in response to client feedback.
Collaborate across the analysis, business development, and software development teams to identify additional features and capabilities to expand our software offerings.
Engage with clients throughout the process to ensure client-driven product development.
Provide subject-matter expertise on fleet electrification and transportation sustainability.
Debug and troubleshoot issues, reduce technical debt, write and maintain testing suites.
