We are seeking a talented individual to join our Human Resource team at Marsh in Ireland.This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Reporting to the Lead HR Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive Human Resource services in a successful and growing organization.
As a Junior HR Business Partner, you will play an important role within the People Function and will support our businesses across Ireland. In this role, you will coach, support and advise People Managers based in Ireland, aiming to develop and enhance the quality of people management throughout the colleague lifecycle; this role can also include project work. You will have the opportunity to advise and support on people matters in a business where the People function is considered an essential partner.
The Junior HR Business Partner will also be key to the supporting the deployment and adoption of new processes or initiatives which are aimed at People Managers.
Youwill need to understand and reflect the local market perspective whilst respecting the value of enterprise-wide alignment where appropriate.
We will count on you to:
- Support the deployment of enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to Managers across the full range of activities in the HR portfolio, including and not limited to performance management, skills and competence development and learning, succession planning, absent/leave management, change management, organizational effectiveness, colleague engagement, compensation, and total rewards including the year-end process.
- Assist in employee relations matters such as performance improvement processes, disciplinary actions, grievances, and appeals, working closely with more experienced colleagues and the Employee Relations CoE for guidance on complex cases.
- Supporting the rollout and delivery of HR programs and contributing to process improvements.
- Cultivate strong relationships with functional teams (Finance, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition and Benefits) and support the alignment between the people and business strategies.
- Support People Managers and colleagues during organizational changes by assisting with coordination of activities and consultations, working alongside senior HR colleagues to ensure smooth transitions.
- Consult and partner with the wider HR network and CoEs to determine best practices, continuously improve delivery methods, and especially consider country-specific nuances to guide local implementation.
- Work with the HR Team and Centres of Expertise to understand and support compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, contributing to reporting and related activities as part of your development.
What you will need to have:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in HR alongside a requirement for relevant qualifications.
- Able to operate without supervision for straightforward matters and able to judge when guidance is required for more complex situations and seek support from appropriate colleagues/experts
- Contribute to the successful implementation of HR projects and initiatives by supporting project activities and collaborating with stakeholders, gaining experience in aligning HR efforts with business objectives.
- Experience in supporting managers with employee relations cases, with a knowledge of relevant Irish legislation.
- Able to support People Managers in specific groups within the country on all aspects of the employee life cycle in all typical situations.
- Able to identify opportunities to make improvements to the service provided by People Services, and demonstrates a willingness and aptitude to embrace changes that will deliver a better service to People Managers
- Effective communications and change management skills.
- Attention to detail with high personal work standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with shifting priorities and a complex matrix organization.

- Previous experience in the financial services sector, or experience in a regulated company
- Familiarity with HR system, like Workday or similar systems,
