Position Summary
The Jr. Account Executive will be responsible for achieving profitable sales and service efforts for accounts including Off Price customers such as Nordstrom Rack, Burlington and Marmaxx, as well as administrative duties. This position is responsible for developing effective customer relationships at all levels. The Jr. Account Executive will possess in-depth knowledge of the apparel industry within the kids basics and sleepwear industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales plan to expand business including, building an upfront business and profitability liquidating excess inventory.
- Account servicing leadership – Ensure the accounts are maintained with a high level of service in all functional areas in alignment with their business needs.
- Ability to work effectively cross-functionally e.g., Design, Client Services, Planning, and Production.
- Effectively communicate and manage all business changes with accounts and/or team. This includes, but is not limited to, special customer requests, promotional commitments, conflict resolution and additional service needs.
- Develop deep product knowledge, the accounts culture, and business processes in order to excel in service, and quality merchandise.
- Maintain an advanced understanding of the marketplace through regular communication, retail pricing, assortment surveys, feature ad tracking and market visits.
- Develop a strategy to generate profitable new business opportunities including solutions to overcome any challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Marketing or related field
- 2-4 years’ experience in the Apparel/Fashion industry with online account management experience.
- Experience in a similar contemporary company, a huge plus
- International experience a plus
- Demonstrated creativity and ingenuity in developing successful strategies for business growth
- Highly effective communication, leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong project planning skills and project management skills
- Must be highly proficient in Retail Math, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- NuOrder, Skypad, Qlikview experience a plus
- Ability to bring Innovation
- Domestic travel approximately 10%
- This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our Secaucus, NJ office
PAY RATE: $65,000/yr-$76,000/yr
