What You Will Achieve
  • A Journeyman Maintenance Electrician working within the Reliability Maintenance environment, within DP Operations and Utilities environment, performs preventive maintenance, modifies, installs, and maintains equipment and process systems.
  • The Maintenance Electrician also works with the implementation of those systems in compliance with company standards and procedures and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, etc). Can serve as a maintenance advisor in areas of engineering (process design, material selection, documentation, calibration, testing and problem solving methodology, project scope and follow up). Responsible for priority assessment and decision making as it relates to troubleshooting, diagnostics, assembly, repair, and a proactive maintenance of systems and equipment in a cost effective manner.
  • Potential for exposure to hazardous materials, heights, temperature extremes, equipment in motion, noisy, dusty and dirty conditions, stooping, bending and heavy lifting.
  • The proper use of the correct Personal Protective Equipment for each task as well as compliance with all applicable safety Standard Procedures is a must.
    Participates in multi-craft work activities as required.
  • May work variable shifts and 24 hour on call as required.
  • Heavy emphasis on NEC, Industrial 3 phase systems, medium voltage distribution, Power logic systems, control systems, and hazardous classified locations, as this position primarily supports Electrical distribution for DP Manufacturing for the Kalamazoo plant.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
  • High school diploma / general education degree (GED) plus either an Associate's degree or relevant trade school equivalency.
  • State of Michigan Electrical Journeyman's License
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Excellent computer user skills are required (Microsoft systems).

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
  • Blue print reading a plus
  • 3 years of related experience
  • Electrical diagram reading a plus
  • Medium voltage experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Power Logic systems a plus
  • Excellent communications Skills
  • Strong work ethic and the ambition to be the best.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The salary for this position ranges from $27.41 to $45.69 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company's policies.
