What You Will Do (When the Time Comes):

  • Support the design and development of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from concept through construction.

  • Develop preliminary electrical designs, site layouts, and system configurations based on sound engineering principles.

  • Create and review electrical calculations, single-line diagrams, and technical documentation to support project development and execution.

  • Partner with estimating, procurement, project management, and field teams to optimize project designs and improve project outcomes.

  • Review utility interconnection documents, facility studies, and power purchase agreements to support project planning and execution.

  • Provide technical guidance to AutoCAD designers and engineering teams throughout multiple project phases.

  • Support equipment evaluation, database management, and Bill of Materials development for BESS projects.

  • Analyze project data and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering, procurement, scheduling, and project controls.

What We Look For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent renewable energy industry experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in utility-scale BESS, Solar PV design, or the renewable energy industry.

  • Strong understanding of energy storage systems, inverters, electrical equipment, and utility-scale renewable energy design principles.

  • Experience creating engineered site plans, electrical drawings, and AC/DC single-line diagrams.

  • Proficiency with engineering and design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ETAP, CYMCAP, PVsyst, SAM, PVSOL, and/or Python.

  • Ability to interpret manufacturer specifications, engineering standards, and installation requirements.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Pay Equity Statement:

$100,000 - $135,000

Primoris Renewable Energy provides the above compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. Primoris Renewable Energy reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant's sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law.
