The IT Strategic Sourcing Director leads global IT technology sourcing, develops category strategies, negotiates agreements, and drives procurement productivity and efficiency.
At Honeywell, we are driving global transformation within IT and Procurement. In this role, you will be responsible for global IT Technology Strategic Sourcing and execution for Honeywell spend in IT Hardware, IT Services and Telecommunications with global supplier spend of $250M+. Reporting to the Senior Director IT Strategic Sourcing within the Corporate Indirect Sourcing team, you will partner closely with IT to understand global strategies and develop creative solutions to enable those strategies.
You will report directly to our Sr Director of Strategic Sourcing, and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities- Lead and develop a team of 7 Commodity Managers
- Develop category strategies to optimize our spend in IT services, consolidate, solidify our Statement of Work process and balance between sub-contract labor and contract services
- Develop category strategies to better procure and manage the lifecycle of laptops with IT
- Develop category strategies to procure and optimize server spend and configurations within the context of growth of IaaS
- Develop category strategies to source broadband/ dedicated internet services as Honeywell moves to SDWAN
- Support the transformation of voice services (VoIP) and optimization of fragmented global telecom spend through various procurement activities
- Support the businesses as a sourcing leader as they move to 5G IoT
- Negotiate multiyear Master Service Agreements, Master Leasing Agreements and Master Purchase Agreements
- Support negotiation of implementation agreements with large IT service providers and system integrators
- Support negotiation of application support, application development, site support agreements with large system integrators or consultants
- Integrate with IT leadership and IT service owners to jointly develop technology and supplier strategies
- Drive procurement and sourcing requirements with speed, agility, and intelligent risk taking
- Drive Productivity, Spend reduction, improve Working Capital/Cash
- Lead development of supplier plans, scorecards and Quarterly Business Reviews
- Own Supply Base Management, supplier strategies and establish plans for Preferred Suppliers, Tail Spend, etc.
- Support mergers, acquisitions integrations and divestitures
YOU MUST HAVE
- 8-10 years blended experience in strategic sourcing and IT category
- Bachelors degree in IT, Business, Supply Chain or Finance

- MBA/Masters Degree preferred
- P.M. or CPSM certification
- Lean or Blackbelt certification a plus
