What You'll Do:
- End-to-End Project Leadership:
- Lead the entire lifecycle of technical projects, from defining scope and objectives during the discovery/selection phase to managing the execution and deployment during the implementation phase.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed timelines, resource allocation, risk mitigation strategies, and budget forecasts using our IT project management tools (Jira, Confluence) and Coupa SDLC frameworks.
- Manage projects involving the evaluation and implementation of AI-powered software, working with teams to navigate the specific requirements of data, modeling, and integration.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams (Business Applications, Data Analytics) and our Portfolio Management teams to ensure project alignment with strategic goals.
- Provide clear, consistent, and transparent updates to business stakeholders and leadership through status reports, dashboards, and steering committee presentations.
- Expertly manage stakeholder expectations, proactively identifying and communicating potential risks, dependencies, and changes to scope or timeline.
- Execution & Delivery:
- Keep cross-functional teams aligned and motivated, ensuring that project milestones are met on schedule and within budget.
- Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions to drive decisions and resolve blockers.
- Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, reporting on progress and escalating issues as needed.
- Financial Management:
- Develop, monitor, and manage project budgets, tracking all expenditures and providing regular financial reporting to stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects are delivered within their approved financial constraints.
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- 3-5+ years of experience in IT project management, with a proven track record of successful delivery.
- Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle, including both technology discovery/selection projects AND end-to-end technical implementation projects.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple cross-functional teams, including technical and business stakeholders.
- Expertise in project management methodologies, specifically Agile methodology.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, stakeholder and presentation skills.
- Experience with budget management and financial tracking for technical projects.
- Direct project management experience with AI, or data-intensive software projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, enterprise-level IT environment.
