Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site IT support for shopfloor systems, including assembly and molding equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Perform basic SQL queries and updates for production-related databases.
  • Install, configure, and maintain PCs, printers, and other shopfloor devices.
  • Run, terminate, and test Ethernet cables to ensure reliable network connectivity.
  • Provide remote support to other facilities or teams using secure remote tools.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and system changes in the IT ticketing system.
  • Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.
  • Follow all plant safety protocols and IT equipment handling guidelines.
  • Ensure proper cable management to prevent tripping hazards on the shopfloor.
  • Adhere to company cybersecurity policies, including password management and access control.
  • Ensure proper handling of sensitive data and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Apply security patches and updates to systems promptly to reduce vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor for unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity immediately.
  • Support compliance with industry standards such as ISO 14001 and 45001 guidelines where applicable.

Who we are looking for:
  • CompTIA A+ Certification.
  • 1-3 years of IT support experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for troubleshooting and data manipulation.
  • Strong networking skills, including running and terminating Ethernet cables.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Your preferred qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience in IT support.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and basic server administration.
