Job Responsibilities:
The 3rd shift Tool & Die Supervisor position is based around the hours of 11pm-7:30am.
Candidates must be a certified Journeyman, or have equivalent knowledge and years of experience.
Summary of Responsibilities• Provide leadership and accountability for personnel and productivity of assigned shift in the Tool Room.• To provide support for manufacturing operations by maintaining and repairing all tooling and related machinery in a safe and orderly fashion as directed by the Tooling Manager.• Oversee and direct team members in a safe, quality-minded and productive manner to attain priorities as scheduled.• The Supervisor must possess excellent leadership and human relations skills, be decisive and responsible, and lead by example.• The Supervisor must demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude and work toward continual improvement.• The Supervisor assists in training and relief of Team Members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Supervision of team members to include training and development, communication and enforcement of company policies and procedures, performance coaching and evaluation, and written documentation of team member performance issues.• Schedule and assign team members to appropriate tasks to achieve department daily production, quality and housekeeping goals.• Maintain effective communication with team members via pre-shift and individual meetings regarding company policies, procedures, work rules, process documentation and environmental regulations.• Review all department objectives and coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with department manager and other shift personnel to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.• Trouble shoot and obtain appropriate support to fix problems using communication between Production, Quality, HSE, Maintenance, Logistics, HR and Tooling departments.
