THIS IS AN EVERGREEN REQUISITION
Orbis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Infrastructure Engineer with extensive experience in cloud-based IT deployment, maintenance, and operations. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and resilient IT infrastructure across cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud architecture, automation, and infrastructure-as-code, with a proven track record of supporting enterprise-level cloud initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure, focusing on scalability, security, and automation.
- Implement and manage cloud resources, ensuring modularity, reusability, and ease of consumption by other teams
- Implement and manage networking solutions
- Configure and manage Virtual Machines (VMs)
- Collaborate with security teams to enforce access control policies for sensitive resources and align with organizational security and compliance requirements
- Partner with DevOps teams to integrate Azure infrastructure into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automation and efficient provisioning of resources
- Assist in implementing DevOps or GitHub Actions to automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and monitoring
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and at least 6 years of relevant experience
Required Skills & Abilities
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
- Expertise with various cloud platforms
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Proficient in scripting
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and DNS.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, and DHCP
Desired Skills & Abilities
- Cloud certifications
- Background in agile or DevOps environments
- Understanding of compliance and security best practices
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Routine video conference and/or in-person meetings.
- Ability to attend planned meetings within the Washington Metro Area region
