About the Role:

CrowdStrike's Cloud Platform Engineering organization is seeking a Sr. Staff Enterprise Architect to help shape the foundation on which our global security platform is built. This role sits at the intersection of architecture governance, infrastructure strategy, and engineering enablement — responsible for defining reusable patterns, paved paths, and standards that scale across a high-growth, mission-critical environment. You will partner closely with engineering, security, compliance, and product leadership to ensure our cloud infrastructure is scalable, secure, cost-efficient, and operationally sound.

This is a remote position open to candidates located anywhere in the United States.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead enterprise architecture design and review across infrastructure, platform engineering, security, and integration initiatives — with emphasis on pragmatic execution, governance, and long-term operability.

  • Build, mature, and operate architecture review processes including intake workflows, domain impact assessment, design consultation, and automated governance mechanisms.

  • Define and drive adoption of reusable infrastructure-as-code blueprints and patterns (Terraform modules, networking standards, multi-account structures) to reduce pattern sprawl and promote engineering efficiency.

  • Design and manage on-prem and multi-region cloud networking architectures including Transit Gateway, centralized inspection VPC models, multi-account VPC patterns, and hybrid connectivity.

  • Lead cloud migration and data center exit programs — authoring cutover strategies, owning infrastructure delivery, and coordinating with compliance and security stakeholders.

  • Build and deliver enablement programs for engineering teams transitioning to cloud-native, infrastructure-as-code-driven operating models (Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, SDLC best practices).

  • Translate complex infrastructure and architecture decisions into clear, business-aligned recommendations for executive and non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, cloud platform engineering, or infrastructure engineering, with demonstrated progression into architecture and governance leadership.

  • Deep hands-on expertise with AWS (Transit Gateway, VPCs, multi-account patterns, IAM, Network Firewall), Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI/CD.

  • Demonstrated experience building or operating architecture review boards, governance frameworks, or infrastructure standards programs at an enterprise scale.

  • Strong background in cloud networking design — including multi-region connectivity, network segmentation, inspection architectures, and hybrid/on-premises integration.

  • Experience leading or contributing to data center exit or cloud migration programs, including infrastructure-as-code delivery and compliance-aligned design.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both deeply technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Bonus Points:

  • Exposure to PCI, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks

  • Hands-on familiarity with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD, Helm, or Octopus Deploy for Kubernetes-based workload delivery

  • Active or lapsed Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP) or AWS certifications demonstrating foundational infrastructure depth

  • Experience designing or governing AI/LLM platform adoption at an enterprise level, including usage policies, traffic analysis, and governance consolidation

  • Background in MSP or multi-tenant IT environments with exposure to a broad range of industries and infrastructure patterns
