The specialist serves as a critical link between investment strategy and implementation, delivering the expertise, coordination, and execution leadership required to achieve client objectives while continuously advancing Vanguard's transition consulting capabilities, operating infrastructure, and differentiated client offering.

The role also acts as a go-to investment resource for internal partners, providing portfolio analysis, market insights, competitive intelligence and implementation guidance, while contributing to the evolution of Vanguard's transition consulting capabilities and mentoring junior crew members to strengthen investment expertise.

Core Responsibilities

  • Advises clients on asset allocation, portfolio construction, and fund selection decisions. Consults with clients to develop or adapt investment policy statements.

  • Conducts investment reviews and shares findings and recommendations with clients and related governing bodies.

  • Collaborates with internal partners to develop and deliver targeted client strategies, ensure a cohesive client experience, and maximize adoption and effective application of Vanguard services.

  • Maintains an in-depth understanding of the investment industry and client industries, market conditions and competition, and compliance, regulatory, and departmental policies and procedures. Serves as a go-to investment resource for internal partners.

  • Leads initiatives that enhance Vanguard's transition consulting capabilities, operating infrastructure, and client offering.

  • Manages cross-functional projects that improve processes, tools, scalability, risk management, and client outcomes.

  • May serve as a mentor, role model, and technical resource for more junior crew members.

  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Five years experience in the Financial Services industry or client services preferred.

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.

  • CFA or CFP preferred.

  • This job requires a regulatory license and/or registration (e.g. FINRA, state, SFC). These will be determined by Compliance based on role-specific duties.
