Honeywell needs reliable, dedicated subcontractors covering the main trades in key and upcoming areas in sufficient numbers to maintain competitive tension but be able to provide sufficient work to gain their loyalty, providing value engineering ideas, discounts and volumetric rebates, timely completion of scope, good HSE and quality standards, in turn delighting Honeywell and our Customers.
This position is an integral part of the Sourcing team. It covers all subcontract-related actions strategically and operationally across all geographies in the Americas. The position works closely with RSMLs, the Global Subcontract Lead, and business stakeholders to deliver value, increase competitive construction “Win Rates,” and increase productivity.
You will report directly to our Global Subcontract Lead and you’ll work out of our Atlanta, GA/Charlotte, NC/Houston, TX location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities- Establish and implement subcontract price and costing strategies.
- Support the development of cost estimates during the proposal phase.
- Provide quantitative and qualitative information related to the position’s scope and job impact. If not applicable, indicate N/A.
- Support development of SubK strategies for the Americas region
- Support implementation of Standard Subcontractor Pricing
YOU MUST HAVE
- Possess detailed knowledge of low voltage electrical contracting experience with a focus on BMS/HVAC/Fire/Security/Energy installations
- Must have EPC background and SubK experience in BMS/HVAC/Fire/Security/Energy
- 5-8 years of business experience preferred, EPC working experience must have, as well as Low voltage, electrical commercial contracting experience and/or estimation experience with a focus on BMS/HVAC/Fire/Security/Energy
- Proven track record that includes working collaboratively with supply teams and Engineering/Technical individuals regarding management of statement of work requirements and subcontractor deliverables

- Strong leadership skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or University diploma – technical degree preferred
- Self-motivated, able to perform the role with minimal supervision, taking ownership and demonstrating a sense of urgency
- Demonstrated proficiency in English both written and verbal. Other language requirements as applicable
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and Honeywell subcontractors to meet or exceed business objectives.
- Proven experience in subcontractor negotiations, comprehensive understanding of commercial terms and conditions related to procurement of goods and services, and supply contracts
- Preferred: Six Sigma green belt, CIPS, CPM, Lean, APICS
