Duties: Administer and manage system hygiene across infrastructure, inclusive of operating systems and independent software vendor application products. Install upgrades to infrastructure and provide on-call support as part of the team rotation. Manage new component installations, and create documented procedures related to the environment and its peripherals. Support the global customer base, including managing meetings, outcomes, deliverables, and shared objectives. Manage risk and audit requirements, deliverables, and other critical objectives across the infrastructure. This position requires up to 5% domestic travel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Technical Lead, Software Engineer, System Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: IBM i integrated infrastructure architecture, including storage, network, database, and application components; Administering IBM i OS and component applications; Configuring IBM i OS and component applications; Building IBM i OS and component applications; Troubleshooting IBM i OS and component applications; Upgrading IBM i OS and component applications; Working with external vendors to troubleshoot and manage system events and failures; IBM PowerHA; IBM i Copy Services Toolkit; IBM i software replication tools, such as Rocket iCluster; Building Program Temporary Fixes; Performing cumulative maintenance on IBM i components; Building OS images using image catalogs; Ansible as a Service; Control Language (CL); Robot Schedule; Robot Network; Robot Console; IBM Message Queue; IBM Websphere Application Server; IBM-related incident management processes; IBM-related problem management processes; Source control management using Rocket or Aldon; Troubleshooting priority incidents; and Facilitating blameless post-mortems.
