In this role, you will:
- Lead and develop a high performing engineering team responsible for enterprise File transfer platforms and services
- Ensure availability, stability, security and performance of mission-critical file transfer infrastructure supporting 24x7 business operations
- Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, platform automation, containerization, API enablement and infrastructure transformation
- Partner with application teams, cybersecurity, infrastructure architecture, and business stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable file transfer solutions
- Establish and enforce engineering standards, security controls, operational excellence and platform governance
- Lead incident response, problem management, root cause analysis and continuous service improvement initiatives
- Develop technology roadmaps and drive strategic planning for the MFT platform aligned with enterprise objectives
- Oversee vendor relationships, product lifecycle management and technology evaluations
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration and continuous learning
- Champion cloud-native architecture, DevSecOps practices, AI-assisted engineering and automation to accelerate platform modernization while maintaining the highest standards of security, resilience and regulatory compliance
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Infrastructure Engineering
- 7+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Managed File Transfer experience
- 2+ years of managing a technology team
- 3+ years of management or leadership experience
- Deep knowledge of enterprise grade Manage File Transfer leading industry products such as Axway Secure Transport, IBM Connect Direct, Sterling B2B integrator or equivalent solutions.
- Strong understanding of secure file transfer protocols including SFTP, As2, NDM etc.
- Expertise in encryption technologies including PGP/GPG, SSL/TLS, digital certificates, key management and data protection best practices
- Strong knowledge of cloud storage and object storage technologies such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob, Google cloud storage
- Experience designing resilient, highly available, and secure enterprise file transfer architecture
- Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms including AWS, Azure, GCP
- Experience deploying and managing applications using K8/Openshift, docker containers and modern cloud native architectures
- Experience supporting enterprise B2B managed file integrations, large scale partner onboarding and migrations
- Proven experience leading geographically distributed engineering teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner with business, application teams, infrastructure, cybersecurity, architecture
- Ability to drive engineering excellence through automation, standardization, continuous improvement and operational metrics
