Position Title: Industrial Mechanic
Position Type: Regular - Full-Time

SUMMARY
Performs maintenance work on industrial machinery and equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines. Uses blue prints, schematics, and other forms of Piping and Instrumentation Drawings (P&Id's) to install, set up, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot processing equipment and machinery. Advises supervisory personnel on maintenance requirements and parts/supplies needed to repair equipment.
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position will report to a Maintenance Supervisor, and will work closely with other team members within the department, and also other plant employees and contractors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installs, repairs, maintains, and troubleshoots processing equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, and malfunctioning apparatus such as motors, conveyors, and pumps.
  • Performs advanced welding functions, including Stick, Tig, and Mig.
  • Troubleshoots plant maintenance for other mechanics, as needed and demonstrates proper tools and methods of repair.
  • Ensures machine fittings and parts fabricating/repairing function meet operational needs and are maintained in an efficient manner.
  • Assists with identifying production line operational inefficiencies and suggests improvements.
  • Sets up and operates lathe, mill, drill press, grinder, and other tools to make and repair parts.
  • Lubricates and maintains machine tools and equipment.
  • Demonstrates comfort with work in a team environment.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of one year from two-year college or technical school; or one year six months to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals to select appropriate information, identify basic concepts, relevant details, facts, and specifications to follow instructions. Ability to write information-recording data accurately and completely on forms/surveys/computer text entries and prepare messages or simple documents. Ability to speak effectively to express appropriate verbal/nonverbal messages, explain concepts, and actively participate in discussion. Basic verbal and written understanding of the English Language.
Compensation Package : $28.04-$48.06 USD hourly + bonus eligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience, skill set, education/training, and other organizational needs.
Shift Differential Pay : $1.50
