Individual Sales Consultant - Hybrid (Raleigh or Charlotte, NC)

Our Newest Opportunity:
An Individual Insurance Sales Consultant is responsible for effectively using sales skills to close sales and achieve revenue goals established by the company. They must be an effective communicator and advocate for the client with an ability to close through interpersonal interactions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Respond to incoming leads from partners and other channels in designated time frames;
- Consult with individual prospects to qualify leads;
- Educate clients on latest trends, compliance and changes in the industry, including Health Care Reform;
- Obtain pertinent census information to run quote; Process quotes from carriers or individual state exchanges;
- Select appropriate plans and create proposal;
- Present plan options to prospects. Follow up in timely manner to obtain decision;
- Clearly and effectively document sales process and all communications with clients in database in a timely manner;
- Collect and review applications;
- Submit applications to carriers;
- Facilitate initial underwriting process.
- Specialize in health and Medicare products.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
- Effective consultative sales skills;
- Ability to sell effectively over the phone;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to work in a team environment to support peers, manager and partners;
- Must be self-motivated and disciplined;
- Ability to prioritize daily workloads to achieve assigned objectives and sales goals;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
Education, Training and Experience:
- A working knowledge of individual health products preferred;
- Minimum one-year industry experience;
- Current life and health license, required;
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook, required;
- Familiarity with database applications, a plus.
Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
