What You’ll Do
We are seeking an HCP Biography Writer (Contractor) to help our team create professional biographies for healthcare professionals (HCPs) ahead of upcoming conferences. This role requires the ability to transform complex medical information into clear, concise, and accurate biographies tailored to specific client needs. You will work closely with project leads and creative teams to ensure all biographies are aligned with industry standards and client expectations. Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare writing is preferred. AI tools will be available to assist with drafting and simplifying the writing process.
 
A Day in the Life
  • Collaborate with the project lead to ensure biographies are written for all confirmed HCPs
  • For each confirmed HCP, determine if a new biography needs to be created or if an existing one can be updated.
  • If a new biography is needed: Use AI tools and templates to draft the biography based on available information (CVs, online profiles, PubMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, etc.).
  • If an existing biography needs updating: Pull the most current biography, check it against relevant sources, and update as needed.
  • Once completed, submit the biography to the copyedit team for review.
  • Incorporate any feedback from the copyedit team to finalize the biography.
  • Save the final biography to the designated folder and notify the team that it’s ready.
  • Repeat this process for each confirmed HCP (up to 300+ biographies).
  • Communicate regularly with the team about your progress and any challenges.
  • Track hours worked in Workfront and report on each biography completed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Creation: Develop and write clear, concise, and compelling bio copy using AI tools and client templates.
  • Medical/Scientific Translation: Translate complex clinical data and healthcare information into easy-to-understand messaging without losing accuracy or impact.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with creative teams to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all copy meets regulatory and legal requirements, including compliance with FDA guidelines and pharmaceutical industry standards.
Qualifications:
  • Technical Writing Skills: Strong writing skills with the ability to simplify complex medical concepts for professional audiences.
  • Industry Knowledge Familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing, healthcare compliance, and FDA regulations is helpful but not required.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to writing, with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects at once and meet tight deadlines
  • Time Management: Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment along with strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of specific systems – Workfront, Egnyte, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Slack, AI tools etc.
